2024 Results from Royal Ashdown

In a rather rain interrupted day, 24 brave souls took to the course and had a fun if rather damp morning. Top honours went to debutant Ed Fairfax scoring an impressive 39 points off his 16 handicap. he was followed with 35 points by another first times Doug Hardman playing off 14. The Gil Waud trophy for the best scratch score was won by Myles Waud and the host of top single figure and scratch players couldn’t find their form on the day.

In the afternoon in the Greensomes on the West Course, Jeremy Williamson and Andrew Saunders took top honours for the Scull Cavell Foursomes tankards, closely followed by Tom Yardley and Doug Hardman also on 18 points.

Woobsie’s winner was presented to Jackie Waud in the evening for her sterling hosting and on course bar duties which as always were very warmly appreciated. Paul Shinerock took the veterans trophy with a solid performance.
